The first full scale assault on the Defenses of Port Hudson, LA

The beginning of the longest, deadliest, and most desperate Siege in American Military History. Banks launched ferocious assaults 
against the lengthy Confederate fortifications on the morning of May 27, 1863. ​However, these initial attacks did not achieve the desired breakthrough. 
A Graduate of Post University with emphasis on Military Science and History. Retired Army SFC with 22 years Active Service and 5 Combat Deployments. A Historian, Public Speaker, Singer, and Stage actor. Keegan currently works as a Louisiana Battlefield Guide with Blue, Gray and Bayous Civil War Tours. He is a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association, PVT in the 10th Brigade Louisiana State Militia, SCV Allen Camp Member, Interpretive Ranger and Volunteer at Port Hudson State Historic Site.
